Beast- Proud Beast

Character theme- Some Beasts are too Proud
The Beast was once a prince, but due to his cruelty, was transformed into a hideous beast, after turning away a enchantress, mistaking her for a poor old woman. Building off that idea, the Beast is considered a ferocious monster, but still still has some kindness left in his heart. Although he is primal in his behaviors, he tried to cling to his humanity the best he can (by dressing like the prince he was).
Here is an update on what I have so far. I played around with different animal types that could be considered vicious or grotesque, but most of my sketches/concept gravitated to the idea of a lion face (an animal renown for their pride/considering the prince was turned to a beast due to his pride).
