Hello, so as someone who is fairly new to 3D modelling and game art I was looking for a source to help me identify things I need to know/ practice. I have not found a single source that has all the information collectively, so I was hoping you all can help me! Right now I know env artists should know:
1. Low Poly/High Poly Modelling
2. Retopology
3. Creating UV's
4. Texturing-Normal,Diffuse, Ambient Occlusion, Specular, Displacement
5. LOD's
6. Creating believable worlds with assets
I don't know if shaders are handled by VFX guys or env artists. If I am missing anything, even if minute, feel free to let me know!
Thanks

You also need to plan your texture and pieces to be reused
Check out Future Poly. Their tutorials explain a lot of things you should know.
