I was on the edge with this one but I can't stop thinking of this story and I discovered a beautiful song that inspired me to move forward. I'll do my best to finish, I am just working on so many other projects currently.
Note: "Medved'" is Russian for "bear" that is partly where I got the name from, fully explained after my story.

100 word short story:
A man lives with his son in a famine gripped village. The man goes out to hunt and finds a trader offering meat, but in exchange for something precious. The man accepts the deal, and the trader asks for the man's son as an assistant. Upon discovering this, the man breaks the deal. The trader places a curse on the man to combine into a beast of the three nearest creatures; A bear, a mole, and a hawk. With risk of death, once a year he returns to the village late at night to watch over his sleeping son.
The Moleved Beast is a freak mixture of bear, mole, and hawk.
