This is my rough concept for the Beast Contest. I don't have a name or complete backstory as of yet.

The rough idea right now is: experimentation of the werewolf virus and cyborg technology on a captured solder from the Great War. The result was a highly unstable part man part werewolf part machine beast.

Here is a mood board I put together for inspiration.



These are some silhouettes I started the other day. Not sure which one I'm going with just yet.

This is my rough concept sketch. I intentionally left out most details so I can experiment more in Zbrush. That way I might find some happy accidents.

Did a bit of Zbrush work fleshing out the shapes. I'm leaving off the armor / cyborg elements for now until I get a form I like.

Here is an update. I had some time this weekend to rough out some more of my sculpt. It's almost time to start adding in some of the elements from my original sketch. I think I'm leaning towards only adding a few mechanical pieces now, but I might change my mind...

Just a quick update. I've finished the rough sculpt and have started to pose my model. I'm also changing my concept to be a more traditional werewolf (ripped cloths and all). Here are some screen shots:
