Kal'Maris, was the Sage of Lust and Beauty. One day a beautiful woman, pure of heart fell for him. He took her as his own, for a time, but soon became bored of her, and left. Heart-broken the girl took her own life. A powerful sorcerer, then cursed the Sage. Locked away by chains in his domain. Surrounded by mirrors, as he witnesses himself waste away forever, through the most beautiful ornate mask locked onto his face, that mocks the beauty he once had, throughout eternity, until he learns to love some one truly as much as he loved himself.

I wanted to do a more humanoid beast, instead of a hulking monster with a heart of gold. Something of a 7 and a half foot tall, tormented, or fallen angel-esque piece cursed to deteriorate throughout eternity. A victim of his once held vanity. I was inspired by the character of Death from 'Hellboy', among other interpretations, and kind of a 'Soul Reaver', meets 'Man in the Iron Mask' feel to it, if that makes any sense. Well, it's a little ambitious for my skill level, but, whats the fun if you know you can already pull it off right? haha... anyways, I hope you like it. And with a little luck. Maybe I'll even get to finish it.
I want the mask forced onto the beast to be an Ironic Beautiful. Kind of in Juxtaposition to the restrained beast itsself
