[3Ds Max] Scroll bar on the command panel FREAKS OUT every time I switch from Vertex/Edge/Border/Pol

Anyone run into this before and know how to fix it? [3Ds Max 2016 sp2]

Anytime I switch from Vertex/Edge/Border/Polygon/Element Selection Mode (1,2,3,4,5 hotkeys) on an editable poly, the scroll bar on the far right of the screen FREAKS OUT/flickers/like it is reloading for each of the menus in the command panel or something. It only takes 2-3seconds and then the panel is loaded with the options it needs and the scroll bar comes to rest but since I switch from Vertex/Edge/Border/Polygon/Element so often, those seconds start to really add up plus it just looks really annoying and its distracting.

I'm pretty sure it did not do this before and it is not really supposed to have refresh problems like that..

Ohh, I forgot to mention it only happens if I have the control panel stretched out to 2 columns, 1 column is fine. So strange!

Strange indeed. This was a known issue back in the 'project XBR' days(I think Max2012) but I haven't encountered it since then. A lot of the issues from back then have been addressed. The only thing I can suggest is the usual GPU driver update/rollback....
