Alternatives to Pinterest?

I like that pinterest gives us a very easy to update reference library that has a visual appeal. However it annoys me that you can't have sub-folders which makes it more difficult to organise references. Besides just using window explorer has anyone had any experience or know of other programs that can accomplish what pinterest has, but adds that extra functionality of the sub-folders?

I to used Icebergs but Pinterest bought out, then subsequently shut down this site.

I use XnVIewMP

While it uses windows file system it's usefulness shows in it's tags that can have many levels and reach beyond simple folders. I use pinterest to collect images which i ultimately download and organize using this.

Personally I don't like branching structures for reference since a lot of images fall into multiple categories, best way to sort them in my opinion is by tagging for which services like Tumblr do a better job than pinterest.

I might just have to bite the bullet and use the broad structure
