@lotet I hate that.. Cause I love them so much, but I just know that's a really valid point hahaha! I'll finish the highpoly and just render out two version, one with and one without bandages. Thanks for the feedback! Edit: Here are the other weapons too!
@Pshyco Man don't say that to the frog, he would be pretty pissed. They're just a bit battlescarred according to him.. Anyways thanks man! Hehehe Here are the weapons in 3D!
Wow, missed that edit for the latest crab pic. super awesome!
as for the lowpoly weapons, looks great as well, only crit is the wrappings, would love to see a bit of geometry here and there to help with the silhouette. you have it on the big sword, but nowhere else. just a few loops here and there for the handles and maybe the head of the hammer would make it even better!
@lotet Thanks! That's a super valid crit. However, I want to keep these things along with the crab a bit more low poly, since they are more like the environment than the focus of the whole piece. Otherwise with the same polygon density as the frog I think the scene would be well over 200k tris.
Took me a while to retop all of this.. But it's finally retopped, unwrapped and baked! (28k tris total)
@lotet Thanks! Rendered in Marmoset TB3. Here are some wires @gfelton Thank you! And yeah. I was gonna zremesh everything at first. But decided to just bite the bullet and retopo it myself.
@MadGunslinger - Very nice wires. so how is TB3? would love to try it someday, how did you get a hold on a lisence? how are you planning the textures, just one sheet for the whole crab or are you splitting it up?
@omar3d Thanks! @lotet It's pretty awesome. I don't know if you can get it anywhere apart from being invited for the alpha though. And for the textures I splitted the weapons. The rest is in one big texture. I should probably split up as much as possible to be honest. But one big texture is just gonna be easier to texture hehe.
Cool stuff! the skin colors (green blue) is awesome. My feedback for the char is that it is somewhat unfocused. for example the difference between his chin, beard and vest is hard to see. I hope that makes sense and helps you a little. Overall bug kudos
Oh man I really enjoyed this loving the texture an the how vibrant an colorful this is!
I am assuming all the weapons are to sell? If a few of them where not I would love to see some moss growing on the lower part where they connect with the shell
Nice work dude! congrats on an awesome piece! small crit would be that the crab is a tad too red maybe? I love the choice if color overall, but I think it could have been really cool to have some white on the belly.
like this for example.
EDIT: now looking at the marmoset file I see that you actually have this, but its very subtle, maybe punch it up a tad?
This looks so great! It's awesome to see how the final product turned out after so many months of hard work. You should be really proud of all the effort you've put in and how it paid off.
@Earthyn Thanks! And great suggestion, should've done that! @TomGT Thanks dude! @lotet Thanks! And yeah. I had it a bit more like your picture at first, but changed it so there's more focus on the top of the crab and where Fred is standing. Maybe I should've made it more obvious indeed though. Since you didn't even notice it at first. Thanks for the feedback! Appreciated, as always @ooParanoia Thanks, glad you do @Carabiner Thanks! Worked on it on and off, but finally finished it @Shyralon Thank you! And yeah that's really important to me. Glad you noticed ^^ @amirabd2130 Thanks! And yesss @lotet is always on point with the feedback
Hmmm... I'm not really happy with the result... Maybe you have to add a lot of really, really ultra-white-highlights around the whole character... Something that make me...
Really nice stuff. I agree with lotet though. I think the biggest problem is there is no separation in color temperature. If you take the lighter areas of the shell and shift them to a much cooler color it helps separate the different areas a lot. It also allows the undershell to not become a distraction.
Here is a quick paint over to show what I mean (all i did was do a colorize with a low saturation and a very slight increase in value):
Sexyyyyyyy. One of the best executions of that particular style I've seen in a while. The moss though might be a little too... vibrant? It doesn't seem to read all that well as actual moss. More like strange slime. Here's an image I tweaked for reference;
I made it a little darker and desaturated, and increased the yellow.
Man I am so glad to see this bit finished. That's a might my nice Krebs. I don't have any critiques that wouldn't just be mirroring what others have said. I dig it, like buried treasure my man.

@Bolovorix Thank youuu!
It's been way too long! Finally started on the gameres version. Here are the bakes of the weapons!

lowpoly looks amazing.
really sweet render too, love the lighting, what are you rendering in? also would be cool to see some wires.

@robert_berrier Very fair feedback! Tried to play with the lighting to solve it.
@Ged Thanks!
@Pshyco Ofcourse!! Haha

Really love how much story is happening through the concept, great work.
I also agree with @lotet
