[maya] Intuos Pro viewport touch problems.

Ok, I've been all up and down the net and can't come up with anything. I finally upgraded to an Intuos Pro but....
Maya seems to ignore palm rejection with the pen in my hand or not. By default the gestures pan/zoom/tumble/etc and that would be great otherwise. I can even run the flat of my palm across for a pan. I am running Windows 7.
Any suggestions? All I can find are a small spattering of unresolved threads. And why is enable/disable touch a global setting in the driver?
