Hello,
I'm new to Polycount and am hoping to find a 3D game artist here to mentor me. I've completed 2 years of college in a program that teaches 3D, video, web, and some graphic design, and am currently in my final semester of a full time 3D program.
My main focus is on game environments, but I also enjoy doing props and characters.
At this point in my art education/career path I believe I would learn far more one on one than in a large group. I'm willing and eager to work my butt off to get into the game industry.
Here's my ArtStation

Leslie Van Den Broeck also did a mentorship thing a while ago, though I'm not sure if he's going to be doing another one any time soon.
I knowf or a fact I learn better with someone teaching me. Thas where I've seen the most improvement for myself.
I'd like to get better at the entire process for making a game ready model.
I'll keep up with this post.

I think he mostly does character work, but there are some props in there as well. You could also look into this tutorial on modular environments from 3d motive to get you started:

Good luck!
Things I'd like to learn more about are how to sculpt fine details in ZBrush, and how to do foliage.
My goals right now are to finish this last semester of school, do my best to learn and overcome what's holding me back, and find employment.
Looking to Polycount for a Mentor is definitely a good call because there's a bunch of talented artists on here!
Although, it's not really a mentorship Michael Pavlovich has a pretty in depth look into using Zbrush on his Youtube channel:

I will say if you're looking for feedback while you're working you can always look to join the slack community that has a bunch of polycounters on there, you can post your work there and get feedback almost instantly.

And don't forgot you can always post here and people will help! I've actually been in your exact same shoes, and had someone tell me " Have polycount be your mentor". Hope this information has been helpful!
Good luck on your art journey!
