Displacer Cannon (Half-Life : Opposing Force)

Hey guys,
just managed to finish this newest piece of mine several weeks ago, and decided to share with you aswell!
All textures handpainted in Photoshop and modeling done in 3ds MAX.
Original model appeared in "Half-Life : Opposing Force", this model will be used in game´s remake called "Operation Black Mesa".

Redesigned by me and "Harry_the_Fox"

Thanks! And yep, however I am really busy at the moment, I will eventually finish the tutorial aswell!

I love how you redesigned it!  Like others said, it seems to be a great balance of the highly realistic detailed style of current gen, but also has the sort of stylized aesthetic of weapons in old retro games.  It keeps the look of how old low poly models had big accented shapes without overdoing it.  It's an aesthetic I wish more sci-fi game weapons pushed for.  Awesome work!
