Hey guys I am getting a seam in my normals along where my UV shells meet in Mudbox. Is there anything that I can do to remove this? I am trying to model/texture a realistic tree branch for a Vray render
Thanks for the suggestion Oglu. I had a go at installing the files but it seems the version I have is only compatible with Mudbox 2015+ and I'm on Mudbox 2014. Any other suggestions?
Hey back with some renders. Also double-checked my settings and I was baking the normals for 3ds max so all fine there. I re-did the UVs and baked at 2k so some of the seams and errors I was getting previously have decreased although the smaller branches dont have that much detail to them due to the UV space given over to those areas. I used a normal rather than displacement map just because the displacement map was taking too long to render out.

real geo will look much better...
are you baking a max or a maya normalmap.?
its possible that the vray render is fine...

Thanks for your suggestions Oglu. Next will be creating the leaves and a hanging bird nest.
