I'm guessing with young people's peculiar tendency to scrawl all over themselves, that a few of you might have had a crack at doing some tattoo designs

I've been asked by a friend draw something up for him. It's not an especially complex design, but I'm wondering if there's anything in particular constraints or the like that I should take into consideration while I'm working.

Enh, for the most part, if you can draw it, it can be tattooed. Any design you do, your friend will bring to the tattoo artist, and any good tattoo artist will tell him if it will or will not work, and help fix it to make it work if it doesn't.

I have a few tattoos myself. I took hime some design references that I had found on the internet. He did say to me that it's important not to have any of the lines too close together or over time they gradually close up as the ink spreads. So a lot of designs do need simplifying slightly if they have lots of dense linework.
