i will insert a part in my mesh: i freeze subdivision levels, use any imm and insert my part, but when i press the 2nd time freeze s.l. my part is very different (the shape is corrupted..!) what is wrong in my workflow? thxVOTEVOTE
Personally I'd skip around Freezing SubDivs; the whole point of that feature is to be able to quickly change a model's topology and then project the original detail onto the new result. In this case you're not just adding new vertices, you're adding new forms (which will just get flattened when the projection kicks in).
Instead just duplicate the subtool you are inserting onto and delete it's subdivisions. Once you're done inserting things, just hide and delete that polygroup.
