WE NEED YOUR HELP!
We are Forged Chaos and we are developing
Trials of Ascension: Exile, a "Host Your Own" multi-player fantasy sandbox game for the PC where you host your own private island, set the rules as you see fit, and invite others to share the experience. Master your profession and help build a community as a human, evolve for the hunt as a Raknar, or defy all odds to grow as a powerful dragon!
We have built a technical demo that we showed off some time ago during a crowdfunding attempt. The demo included multiple players playing as either humans combating each other or building structures one piece at a time, or as a the spider-like raknar that climbed walls (even upside down!) and wreaking havoc for the poor humans.
Since then we have refactored the majority of the demo to a more production level code base and continue to make progress. We are open about our progress and invite the public to watch as we post and complete our user stories (we run agile development) on our
public facing roadmap.
You would be joining a team of
fourteen capable fun-loving folks (two newer members have yet to post their bio's). We are all about progress, process, and fun. If you join the team, you can expect a fleshed out game design document (but never complete, I mean when is a GDD really done??), an internal wiki, multiple communication tools allowing us daily communication and real time reports of progress per team member, and a weekly voice meeting via Skype with the whole team.
Our work process couldn't be simpler. You set your own goals for each sprint and we expect you to do your best to complete those goals within the sprint. Easy peasy. Oh, a sprint is a fancy-schmancy agile development term for a set window of time. Our sprints are two weeks.
We are looking for two 3D Modeler/Animators. If it has to do with 3D and you have experience creating it, painting it, or making it move, we want to talk to you.
The perfect candidate:
- Can create semi-realistic organic and inorganic meshes.
- Can texture meshes to match our artistic style.
- Can properly rig a model.
- Is comfortable animating various objects.
- Is familiar with the Unity3D art pipeline.
BUT YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE PERFECT TO APPLY! If you know some of the above, we'd still love to chat!
We offer a generous revenue share that increases with more time and effort you put into the project. The details of the contract, our projections and goals will be discussed with qualified applicants.
