Currently working on halo's 4/5 covenant carbine for a fan game being worked on and also something for the good ol' portfolio
It's not an exact copy from the game I did a bit of tweaking to the lower part based on some cool concept art on the game I found.
Images below is all the high poly progress so far (sorry for the aliasing
), just using box modelling and retopo techniques (although the topology is not super clean ). The organic nature of the weapon plus the cuts and hard edges were a real challenge for me so far.
Some blockout parts on the image below helps give a better view of what the weapon will shape up to be.

Started blockout out the grip and barrel a bit more. Adjusted some scaling.
