i am not quite finished with it yet. I could post the graph later after i done with it but it may not be that interesting to look at because i sculpted the whole thing in Zbrush and use substance designer for baking and adding details.
that lava looks amazing. Carbon fiber needs anisotropic. Each string of the fabric is made out of many tiny filaments. The Albedo is completely black (pure carbon). All the information comes from the reflecting light, roughness and anisotropic. Also there should be no normalmap information on it, because parts are produced in very glossy molds with clear coat on top for UV protection.
raw dry fabric (handles like cloth, not a flat surface):
You will only see this in factories where carbon parts are made.
final compound (flat surface):
This is how you can see it on cars, bikes, ...
Edit: Actually there should be two reflection layers. One for the clear coat and one for the fabric itself. Is this even possible with Substance Designer?
Edit 2: I also just noticed that the weaving is wrong. The most commonly used weaves are plain and twill:
There is now a clearcoat shader in Substance Painter but unless you have also a clearcoat shader in your final render app/game engine, you will only be able to see it in SP.
Hello guys. Nice works on here.!! I picked up SD last week and started to play around. I wanted to share my WIP and would love get some feed back from you in order to improve my work. (:
