Concept can be found here, artist is Vadim Sverdlov. Here is my interpretation of its functionality. I've also altered some small things from the concept.
The upper muzzle is also going to be modified to double as a taser for non-lethal takedowns.

I'll be texturing this with Quixel 2.0 since I just got it. I expect to have the high poly done by the end of this week. Thinking about streaming the making of this on twitch but not sure if there'd be any interest. LMK.
Quick update. Bottom rails totally WIP. Probably not gonna have 3 in the end just cause it's too impractical. Gonna do the bottom rails next and then onto the iron sights.
Superb highpoly modeling James! But Is it really necessary to do the inside of the barrel? It is awesome, and if you are going to animate it would be really cool if you could make the barrel thing pop out of the gun so you can show of all those amazing details.
Thanks Victor! For this asset I'm going as far as I can with the modelling. I'm trying my best to develop a concept using my own ideas/shapes, and modelling the inside of the muzzle was part of that. Also, as you mentioned, it'd be pretty cool to animate the front flaring out a bit, which is what it was designed for. I'm trying to design parts of the weapon with animation in mind since I think it's important.

Thanks! Believe it or not all these renders aside from the blue one are screens of the max viewport. I have a simple light setup with one white key and two rims that are blue and orange. I also have viewport AO enabled.
Wasn't happy with the color scheme/breakup of the blue/orange. Decided to do a blue/purple/hot red instead. Bonus retro image messing around with curves in marmoset. Added almost final decals.
I really dig this man, the colourscheme is rad and i'm a fan of the materials! They're understated which i think works well and the attention to detail its crazy, looks really great. It has a Borderlands meets Doom style that i really really like, tasty stuff!
