Hello Polycount!

I'm hoping to pick up some CC if you want to give it to me. I will be posting my work to this forum, some complete, others in progress, and I would love to get some fresh eyes on my paintings to try to steer me in the right direction. I will do my best to look around on this forum and give my two cents on what I can. Thank you so much for taking the time to look through my stuff, without further adue, this is "No Neck Nick".

It's an interesting character idea, but it's not nice looking composition-wise to crop a character at the wrists. You'll probably want to frame it a little differently, and make sure you're not just leaving out the hands because they are hard to draw. Some gnarly looking hands could add a lot to this character.

Some unique looking designs! I would suggest studying up on light and color. The basic understanding is there - but your current color choices are causing everything to look muddy. Keep it up!

Ok, so with colour theory there's a couple of things to note - lighting theory and colour theory are separate things. Lighting theory deals with how physical objects respond to light, colour theory is more the design aspect of how colour affects us psychologically, and how that plays into composing an image. 

So for lighting theory, I recommend reading up on James Gurney's 'Color and Light' book, as well as David Briggs' Huevaluechroma website. I think for now those are what you ought to focus on. But also don't neglect your drawing and observation, for which I recommend you do first. Try Dorian Iten's accuracy guide.

These have very nice ideas and designs, however they still lack some solid anatomy/perspective structure. 

Your shading is very good though, and you just need to be a bit more careful with the shapes of the body:
