I've been looking for a button where I'm able to update all maps at once (all my baked maps) so i don't have to say "refresh" and make sure that they are properly loaded in all layers.
Are you baking inside or outside of Substance Painter ? If you are baking inside then the additional map slots are what you are looking for. When you bake, those slots are automatically updated. Since the filters and mask generators read those slots, they will also automatically update too.
If you are baking outside Painter and imported your texture, right-click on a texture and choose "reload". Then drag and drop the texture into the additional map slot to update it.
Im baking outside. It just slows down my workflow when i have to update 6 maps and drag them into place everytime. So i was wondering if there was a automatic way to do that
Hey, years later into the discussion but there doesn't seem to be an official solution for this. I got into this stuff recently so, I decided to write a little script/ plugin for the same purpose. Check it out, this definitely helped me save some hassle. Link: https://chandrakantswarnkar.gumroad.com/l/vtyyw
Glad to hear people are finding it useful. I have updated the script and the link as well (previous link no longer works), feel free to grab the new update. https://aurifexchandra.gumroad.com/l/vtyyw

Thanks for the fast reply and happy holidays!
Thanks!
Totally agree with Tvidotto. The feature is desperately needed!
It's been there since at least 2017
