Research, study and developpment is a pillar part on any type of artistic executions. Often, put during pre-prod for professional projects, it is oftenly used for blocking, layout, planning for every work you are doing.
How much time do you usually put into research before starting something new. How do you filter what you want and you don't want? Do you have an image gallery? Use you imagination? Go outside and take pictures?

It depends on the project, sometimes, if I work, say, in a post-apocalyptic piece, I search for urban exploration and abadoned places, it breathes a sense of believability into it.
