Help with itemtest

Hello, I''m quite new to the team fortress 2 workshop and I have a problem in the test map. I made a hat for the soldier but when I load it into the testmap the soldier keeps on his own helmet and puts on my hat as an extra. Anyone knows how to turn off his helmet so I only see my own hat?

To my knowledge there is no way, I had the same issue wit ha pyro head replacement. Your only option would be to take your item and mod your TF2 so your new hat replaces an already existing item.

late reply but there is a checkbox for groups and what to hide in the importer. Check hat.
