Question for LOD survey

Hi all,
I am doing a research piece on Lod(level of detail) in underwater environment and was thinking about doing a survey on how good the Lod look. I was thinking about showing the outcome of the three method of creating Lods with a polycount of each models. However I don't know what else I can ask them about lod. Maybe show the changes in underwater and ask if they have notice anything (I am using Unreal engine 4). But other than that I dont know what else to ask. If anyone have any suggestion please say tell me, I would appreciate that.

Do more research into LODs and how they are used. They are not switched only by distance. And it is not only vertex count which is changed.

LODs will add significant amounts of memory, and depending on the type of game might not be worth it.

why do you have 3 threads about this?   just make one therad and stick to it, makes it a lot less confusing for the rest of us.
