Level of detail (LOD) model underwater

Hi everyone,
I am doing a research into Level of detail models in and underwater environment. I was wondering if anyone know what effect the water would have on the model (for example blurness).

    Well, typically the view distance underwater is very low and you'll just use whatever fog feature is the game engine. Meshes can be culled when they are outside of the view distance, so you might not actually need LODs for underwater depending on your specific needs and use case. Like if you were make a giant underwater city like Bioshock, you'd need LODs.
