Hello forum,
This is my first post on this awesome community. Although I've know of it's existence for years,
I've never made a profile, as I'm more of a programmer than an artist.
Currently, I'm porting an story-branching platform shooter named Iji, created by Daniel Remar, and I want to remake/improve the visuals by making use of 3D models. Originally, all the cutscenes were hand drawn, so the main characters tend to look slightly different on each image. That's why I want a 3D model. This way, I can pose and render out the main characters with different expressions on their faces by just posing in 3D and rendering that out.
I'm aware that It's a fairly difficult request, as the style is different from the usual 3D characters. It's somewhat cel shaded, no real detail in texture, only colors, and sometimes, the main character's hair/face looks anime, while at other times, looks more normal in proportions. So, what I'm asking here is basically, a rigged posable model of this character, with different face expressions. Don't know if it's best to be textured on, or if it's necessary to model the face to be more detailed in geometry on the eyes and mouth. I've included some of the in-game art images for reference. Thanks in advance.
