Help with bow

Hello i got this school project to make a fantasy weapon !, and i chose to make a bow with the nature theme like this one here that i got as a reference picture (not concept art made by me, i got it from google)  i have the basic shape as you see on my model below, but i have no idea how i should in an efficent and good way add the details, the leaves the vines and the branches ! my teacher is not here today so i turn to you guys for help i plan to have the model finished today to be able to uw map tomorrow thanks in advance

    Hmm very interesting piece this one, I would start by cutting the bow at the handle and mirroring it vertically and use more of a circle/cylinder shape as a base for the bow, for the branches i would just extrude them off and shape em til im happy with em then do that all over, not worrying about trying to model leaves as you can add that in with alpha maps later. that would be my basic approach at the beginning and then from there it depends on the style your going for. I'm not sure if this is actually what you are looking for , or if it will be any use but hopefully it helps in someway.

    Do you have zbrush? I'd just do it all there... If you have the time, the workflow is basically zspheres, fibermesh/IMM leaves, high-poly, retopo, bake, bam.

    If you need the project done asap, and only know max... I'd just model everything by hand with tubes and move brush. Make one leaf model, and just duplicate it.

    thanks guys, well the project should be done on thursday and we have had an introduction in mudbox but i am not good at that yet,and thanks Zephy i will try the extruding XD
