I'm trying to use a preset I created from a previous project and it all loads fine but none of the layers appear in the new project. I'm probably missing something. I have the preset selected but it doesn't load as I thought it would. Suggestions?
No, I'm not. I am currently using 2.0 and saved a preset with the option "Save ID Preset from Document". I had to move the xml file to the 2.0 preset folder and it recognizes it's there. I'm not getting the results when I reuse it. But I do know with the 2.0 set up, it all starts with a blank slate. I'm just trying to load that preset and I'm unsure of how much has changed in regards to Presets.

No problem. Also, it appears FBX files are now an option to be used as meshes, but I always stuck with OBJ, tried it out and with my FBX meshes, they never appeared in 3Do. Others might have better luck, I'm using 3Ds Max 2013 and Photoshop 11.02.
Looks like I am having the same problem using a id preset from document. Fresh project from quixel 2.0 w/ latest version, preset xml looks like it has correct data but project starts off blank. Any status on if this is a bug or is the problem something else. I have used this feature a lot with versions previous to 2.0 without any issues.

I created 1 asset with 15 smart materials and saved out a custom ID Preset XML file in the proper directory. I then start a new DDO project loading in my new mesh and corresponding maps, and I select the new custom ID present.
After clicking on "make art", at some point the dialogue box says "Creating 15 materials" (which is how many is in my XML file), but I end up with only 3 or 4, and none of them are applying correctly.
Could you please send a copy of the input maps and ID preset information to sameer@quixel.se ? He's our SUITE programmer and should be able to take a closer look at this for you. Sorry about the trouble!
OK, I have seem to have got it working by setting my preset too None(Because its auto loading some other preset for some reason), then i set it too the preset i want to use, NOTE: Do this BEFORE inputting any mesh or maps, then input mesh and maps and hit make art. That seemed to work for me.
