Seeing all the awesome stuff people are doing I almost didn't post this. But you can't improve without trying so here is my submission. Critique and tips thoroughly welcome.
here is the first few sculpting stages as i defined the forms, I wanted the skin to feel like it was layered on thickly to the metallic sections near the back.

next i used z-remesher to create the low poly and then baked using xnormals. witht he baked maps i took the project into substance where I painted it.

then I exported the maps out and plugged them into the tennogen workshop tool but i have a mysterious strip of blue masking where there is none on the png. :S.
