(Quixel Suite) Issue with DDO Masks

I should probably preface this by saying that I would have posted this in the Quixel subforum, but I can't seem to post there (maybe because I'm a new user?), so apologies in advance.

Over the past week or so I've been acquainting myself with DDO and it's various features, and I'm pretty confident in my abilities to make use of most of them by now. However, one issue that has plagued me from the start are some problems with masks.

Some masks, such as edge masks, don't seem to be doing their jobs correctly. As you can see in the image below, the mask is completely ignoring some very large edges on one side of the model, but not the other. The inputs i'm using are Normal, AO, and Object Space Normal.

If anyone could help at all, it would be greatly appreciated! Cheers.

I'm not sure if the image upload worked, so I've put it on imgur just in case. http://i.imgur.com/aJ3SfFN.jpg

Try setting the mask to blank and creating your own from scratch rather then using the presets. I've always had the same problems as you with them and get much better results starting from scratch. It's also a nice way of learning what it all does. I tend to start with the ao + cav and finish with the materials. Inverts are mega useful and there is options go tweek the whole mask at the bottom of the list, it was a bit hard to spot!

It might be an image resolution issue, if the presets was designed for a 2048 and your working with a 512 I guess high values in the presets could get you odd results. Don't quote me on that though.

Also - post your source textures?!

Edit - Try bringing down the med / large / huge sliders in your curvature
