Earphones

Anyone got some good recommendations for some earphones? I've been using Apple's notorious EarPods but splashing £25 every few months makes me cry

Considering most of our time as artists is listening to music, thought this would be a good place to ask!

Preferably has a volume/mic too that's compatible with my iPhone - I might be asking for too much here but it's what I'm used to!

I love the HD 280 Pro. Good passive noise cancellation and pretty leak-proof sound-wise for the office. No built in mic though..

I recently got a pair of Boes AE2w and I like them. Kinda expensive though.

They work best with iphones i think.

Saying its life changing is such a #firstworldproblem thing, but really, you don't realize how often you screw with that cord until you get wireless headphones.
Expensive, these were about 250~, but maaaan, so worth it. You can find cheaper I'm sure.

When I first got my set I started noticing myself grasping thin air to adjust my cord after every move. Took a few days to break the habit BUT NOW I'M FINALLY FREEEEE

For mobile in-ear option I can suggest the Sennheiser CX275S.  Got them recently and the sound quality is excellent, plus they're pretty comfy.

Appreciate the comments guys - way out of my budget but seeing some of those recommendations, I seriously need an upgrade

The ATH-M50's will cost you £88.38 on amazon right now... and will last you 10 years. Your ears will love you.

Soundmagic make excellent budget headphones, their £15 in ear headphones are a steal. brilliant quality and my first pair lasted 5 years of abuse which is pretty good for an in ear headphone. They will probably have something in their range to suit you.

I'm a big fan of Sony's MDRAS40EX - they are earbuds, come with 3 different size earbuds and the hangers for around your ear are rubber and can be removed (I don't use them) I'm on my second pair and been using them for a few years now.  I even tape them inside my atv helmet during the summer and clip an ipod shuffle to the outside of my helmet with zipties. Love them, love the bass they provide and are so cheap.

...not a fan of over the ear or on ear headphones because the headband gives you it's own version of bed head :P
