[Weapon Swap] - Orthos - Fusion Claw

Greetings Everyone,
This is my first Polycount competition and I am designing a new skin for the Orthos weapon. I played Warframe several years ago and really enjoyed the design and aesthetic of the world that they created. Glad to be a part of this competition! I've attached both the silhouette concept and initial pen design.

Update on this weapon model. I've taken the model into Maya and started modeling the basic look of the weapon. I will be taking this weapon into zbrush soon to create some extra details. Also which version of this weapon do you guys like better in the first image. I am leaning towards the first image but alternative have the second design as a more simple variant.

Looks very cool -- would like to point out the hand positions guide here:  https://warframe.com/steamworkshop/help/index.php?page=hand-position-guide I agree that #1 is more interesting, but #2 might play nicer.  Perhaps the width of the handle could be varied more across the length to add back some of the elements your using at the tips on a smaller scale.

I was going to suggest the same thing as Kary. The wire guards most likely won't play well with the hand placements already set. The blade shape has a great silhouette. Keep up the good work!

I've decided to stick with the 2nd design as it will play nicer with the hand placement guide. I've been working on the hi-poly version of the blade recently. What do you guys think about this?

I've been working a rough design for the diffuse color of the weapon. I am going to polish the diffuse colors and then add some more textures for it soon.

Final update on this model. I polished the diffuse and added in a couple of other items.
