Hi, I'm a newwbee and I try to make a teapot with a texture on it. I'm on quixel suite 1.8 and I made all the maps in c4d but the texture didn't wrap the teapot. look at the picture enclosed. what's the problem ? thanks for your help
I'm not too familiar with C4D, but I've had this happen in Blender before. In Blender it's that I can assign different mapping per-texture, and if I forget to save my unwrap to the mesh then textures won't line up in other engines.
is the original image from 3Do? It could be something to do with the tiling of the texture. You can check this by pressing the space bar when on 3Do, this brings up some sliders on the left. There should be a slider that controls the tiling.
Hi, yes it's the imgage from 3DO and I found and try the tiling slider. But with the slider I can only go to the right and it decrease the size of the texture. I can't increase it... so I export my maps at a 4096 * 4096 pixels and just saved my .obj I use for the mesh.
I made a mistake by selecting my initial polygon to export it to .obj file as a mesh. now I selected the new plolygon created after baking my mesh in top of the list and tadam, it works now

I have this teapot in the picture enclosed in c4d and I exported as an .obj file.
is it triangulated or not, I don't know...
how do you do that ?
thanks
I don't understand.
my mesh seems to be too big for the texture.

is it right ?
