I have my first model done in MODO and now I'm going for subdivision process, its unfamiliar to do that on MODO to me, so I decided exporting to Maya, I tried both OBJ/FBX formats with no sucess, on the FBX case I got this message I've exported it into ZBrush and UVLayout without problems. This very model has some 2 Edges vertices( for some holes and geometry end), Could someone help me ?? I tried a plug-in to load LXO format into Maya and didnt work as well
Edge Weighting tool doesnt work that good on complex meshes. Also should be nice using that tool and be able to export to Maya, look here the control that you can get http://https//vimeo.com/21625869
Could you put it on a site that's not infested with malware -_- You could also just open the obj in a text editor and paste the text here, since OBJs are not encrypted.
The cubee.obj seems fine other then possibly some scale issues. In Modo go to System > Preferences > File I/O > Wavefront I/O > Import Units + Export Units, and change it to centimeters (this is based on my oooold Modo notes, may not be the exact same path anymore).
If that doesn't help, then all I can say is it's probably something on the Maya side of things instead of on Modos.
