This has recently come up where I move one UV shell the rest of the UV's follow. I also notice this happens when the models are combined. In the past I had no issue with this process. I made sure the UV's are cut and selected UV's not vertices. I'm hoping there might of been some button I pressed accidentally I'm not seeing oppose to a glitch by Maya where I have to uninstall and reinstall. (Which would be a hassle)
