[Weapon Swap] - Orthos - Jinsoku

Started piecing together some ideas today. I found some inspiration looking at the infested pistol already in the game. My goal is to fuse organic and man made/sci-fi. For materials I want to have a fossil type rock that's enveloped itself around bits of the blade and down the staff. I'll need to reconfigure the blade sizes because they're too long. So far I'm leaning towards blade 1/3/4/6, and staff 2/3/4/6. The colors and possibly the name are a placeholder. All CnC is welcome and appreciated!

Mirrored the silhouettes

Narrowed down to these two. Which blade end should I go with?

Out of the two i'm digging the top blade for sure, more silhouette. Personally I think you should have asymmetrical blades, and i'd like to see a concept with #5 on the opposite end. That would give a nice juxtaposition of the keen blade and the more square/hatchet blade. and really emphasize the size of one.

I'd also like to see the multi-color come back so I can get a better idea of what your plan for tints are. I'm going to be coloring mine for a better idea on my sculpt as well.

So far looks awesome though, love my Orthos.

I don't want to run into any texture density issues. That's why I stuck with complete symmetry. I'll put something together for a comparison. Thanks Nova!

Yep definitely liking the bottom one a lot. When squinting the weight stills feels even, I would try making one of the blades bigger/wider.

I look forward to seeing the next phase.

Tomorrow I'll be sculpting in the details of the fossil-ish bits and strap. Getting the form roughed out.

Progress with sculpting today as well as playing with color options. Does it look like an alien bone fossil thing so far?

Received feedback and redid some things. Any suggestions on the direction I'm heading? I think the muscle strands could stand to be dug out a bit more so they pop.

last minute changes are making this deadline really nail biting! obtained feedback with how unbalanced my weapon looked. did a few paint overs and found a cooler design to go with.
