I think I'm pretty much done with high poly. I have splited model into separate subtools so that it would be easier making tint mask. all other small detail will be textured with ndo (maybe).
On the tintmasks: At the bottom of this page I have a section on that, and how we recommend screening your Green and Blue on top of the earlier channels (tends to avoid a nasty white outline that can happen otherwise): https://warframe.com/steamworkshop/help/index.php?page=texturing-guide There are reasons to not do it, but it generally works out for the better. Nice piece!
Hey, great job on the helm. I was wondering if you could tell me why the Tint Mask RGB isn't allowing me to change the 1st 3 colors in the Warframe TennoGen previewer. I am testing with the files directly from the game, so it should work. Next to Tint Mask, I clicked the box, selected the VoltHelmet_Mask, and then clicked the 4 circles next to it to change the colors, but only the 4th circle does anything, and it changes the entire model.
Hey, yes I also had that problem where colors didn't change. I think only 4th circle changes because tintmask alpha channel is all white. I use superPng plugin in photoshop to open tintmask, and when I finished my alpha mask I saved it as superpng as well. and it all worked fine. if you don't want to use alpha channel it can all be black with a dot of white somewhere outside UV, then it should also work. hope that helps.
@jeebs I've tried using SuperPng and the other way as well. Any chance you could give me more details, or some screenshots? Also, the best way if you are able to would be to add me on skype and screen share. My skype is jakecassie. Thanks.
@Screamheart Hey, I made a small tutorial on how to make it work, hope this helps. I don't know if it is a correct way to do this, but it works so it should be ok.
@jeebsCool, but I thought the Alpha was the area that would stay grey, but it's green in your final image, and the area around the eye is grey, what determines the green, and what determines the grey?

Really looking forward to the textures. Get some nice emissives in there!
Today I have also made low poly model and all textures. don't know if it's finished yet, I may fix some details later.
I did just put up the files for Mag and Volt as "ExampleFile" folders. Should be in the content directory on the website in a few minutes.
