[Weapon Swap] – Orthos – Plasma Core

Starting on another Plasma core weapon to go with the Galatine. Hit a road block on the design of the Galatine so I'm working on the Orthos to help get an idea of how the design looks.

Nice. I think my only crit would be maybe  make the staff width  heavier as  it start  towards the  blade heads- might give it a more dynamic balance.

Played around a bit with the model.

Added simple muti-sub object to show Tint allocation. 
1- Silver. 2- Teal. 3- White. 4- Black. Energy- Blue.

A friend pointed out that the weapon felt too Grineer like. So I've squared away a few parts and cleaned it up.

Honestly I think its the curves that are making it more Grineer. i wonder if changing the blades would help to give it a more corpus feel. Corpus are very much, technology for function and not form so i don't know that they would take the time to shape a curved blade like that usually their weapons use "energy" or electricity to form the "blade" parts, i.e. the Lecta whip. But you've got a cool design here just something to think about.

Yeah, this was the same kind of feedback I got from another friend. I'm looking into other blade types to fit their style without breaking the overall flow of the weapon. I was thinking of using a similar style to what is used on the Onorix, where the blades are called 'laser blades'.
