[Alt Helmet] - Mag - Glimpsing the void

Working out the forms. going to move into zbrush and block in some more shapes and see if any happy accidents crop up.

Base sculpt from this evening. Going to experiment more with different shapes and also need to figure out the back of the helmet.

I would like to move this to a new thread once I come up with a name. glimpsing the void wasn't meant to be the name of the piece and doesn't fit the warframe naming convention anyway. I'm not sure if that is what artists with the "To be determined" threads are planning to do as well.

looks promising , IMO you are overreacting in regards to similarity with other designs, you should work on it further,

Thanks, I appreciate the thought. I'll keep that in mind. I definitely want to find a more unique look and there are already so many unique mags people have come up with. I've got some more thumbs to design from so I'll see if something more interesting comes of it!

More progress. Finished up the low poly and baking the normals. Some small issues with the bake that need to be fixed, but felt good finally getting some texture onto the model.

An Alternate helmet for Mag based around the theory of ferromagnetism and Curie's Law. The violent magnetic energies that Mag embodies course through this helmet warping the extremities of the helmet itself.
