Hi guys! So after not posting here for more than 2 years, I come back hoping to do more character art in my spare time. I would really appreciate any feedback about the anatomy and likeness!
Good to see you getting back into it. At this stage I'd make sure you get her proportions right before banging on with the details.
To my eye her knees are a little low and her forearms a little long. Also her calves are really big for her frame and she is lacking a large amount of form on the outside of her quad. Shoulders could come down a little too, they feel too square.
I think you might want to take a look at her leg length. Its coming off a little short to me, perhaps by half a head? It could also appear that way because of a bunch different anatomy issues that others have mentioned.
Cool start on the head though! I think its going in the right direction.
Thanks so much for the feedback, I've started making those changes now, is this looking a bit better? I've left the details out this time, trying to get the shape right first.
Better, her arms are still too long and her knees are a touch too low still. Arms should be equal lengths from armpit to elbow, elbow to just before the wrist, wrist to outstretched fingers. I would also give her more natural posture. Super quick paintover/dodgy liquify adjustments.
**edit: These arms might be a touch too short now that I look at it again. You get the idea though :P
Applied the feedback, pulled her abdomen out a bit, brought back the shoulders, corrected the neck muscles and shortened her arm, worked on the hands too. I'm going to start building the armour. thanks for the feedback so far!
I think you've got a nice base to go off of now! With the adjustments from the feedback already given I think it looks pretty solid. Can't wait to see that awesome armor Not sure how fare you are with the face yet but I think that you could use to make the features (especially the jaw, cheek bones and masseter) more angled/pronounced. I think one thing that makes her look so strong/tough are those "intense" features on her face. Right now the face you have looks relatively soft.

Thanks! I think I will definitely be going back to the face now that I've had a fresh look at it. It is a bit on the smooth side, I want to make it a bit sharper as you said with the jaw and cheek area, she actually looks too young!
Just posting to show I'm still alive! Had a busy week (I know, that's not a good excuse). xD Having a go at marvelous designer for the first time, that tool is way too much fun. I have to go back and re-sim it after I get the knee pads and other stuff in. Thanks again for all the feedback.
Something about her face is admittedly still reading shimmery. Have you done a color zone pass yet for the face as well?
Hi Panda! Thanks for commenting, I only just checked your message and by now had rendered her again. I will try check out the colour zones! I'm still learning PBR method! I've got her model up though, so feel free to check it out? https://www.artstation.com/artwork/81X9O
Ok! Re-rendered her, using colour zones on the subdermis/translucency maps. She's looking more alive and less jelly like I hope. I think this is going to be called done.
