Hello Polycount! This thread will be an art dump and critique for the project Desolation: The Old World.
Desolation: The Old World is a 3D top-down metroidvania game being developed by 5 game designs students.

Here is a concept piece made by one of our artists. It is the concept of our first enemy.
Here is the first design for our first enemy. Our plan is that the boss fight will be partially fought in the dark. The mask will be casting light. So there will be a light mechanic. The only source of light will be the boss who will be casting light from his mask.
This is the model for the first level design. We have uploaded it to Sketchfab as well so go check it out there if you wish!
