Hey all, Why UV stretches like this on curved areas unless you add more geo on curved areas. This problem does not happen if you manually paint on low poly curved surface with uv cords.
If you texture on a straight object and then bend it, the texture will stretch on the polygons that get wider and compress on the polygons that get thinner. That's the basic logic.
If you texture on an object that is already curved, then there is no stretching or compressing to be done because your uvs already compensate for the curve.
I apologize if I don't fully understand the issue because your A and B examples seem to be two totally different sets of geometry. Also, you're example image is extremely small and it's difficult to see any detail or the wireframe because of the colors used.
