So I have been modeling for 8 Years now but I would like to get in to making characters but I don't really know the mesh flow of them, or even where to start.
1) Go to Google.com 2) Type "character modeling tutorial" 3) pick one of the thousands that pop up that relates to your software of choice. 4) repeat untill happy with result!
Could also buy books on the subject.
Surely 8 years of experience should have tought you this!
There are also many helpfull hints in the polycount wiki page (accessed by pressing the ominous "WIKI" button at the top of the page).
http://wiki.polycount.com/wiki/Topology Notice there is a difference between modelling for film or for games. Start off by sculpting and drawing human anatomy. Follow tutorials from artists who's work you find attractive and expressive. Learn about character design. Join the character challenges here on polycount. Use the wip area for feedback and help from others.
