A new tool for resolving normal map issues across various game engines
Created by Polycounter Alec Moody and Luke Hodorwicz, handplane is a new tool meant to solve the all too common problem of tangent basis mismatches in normal maps. handplane is not a baking tool, but rather a tangent space calculator, which means that it allows you to continue to bake normal maps in your program of choice.
handplane has just been opened up for public beta, and the developers are looking to get as much user feedback as possible. Head over the the official handplane thread to read more about the advantages of the workflow this offers and to download the beta.
