I disagree. Unreal has the advantage of being very intuitive and artist-friendly. Frostbite on the other hand....

UDK has had deferred lighting ever since the release that incorporated the features from the Samaritan tech demo.

UE3 has realtime lighting in its latest releases.

Unreal already has deferred lighting and has doe for months. With the right extensions it has solid dynamic lighting with real-time global illumination.

I've been following Enlighten's progress since '05. It is such a relief to see it finally coming to the screens of gamers. For a time there, I didn't think It would get off the ground. Next up, real-time raytracing! (one can dream)

"If Unreal doesn't get into streaming and realtime lighting anytime soon it will be dead" wait, what? ...Unreal have streaming and realtime lighting? :P And I have a hard time seeing the largest gameengine in the market "dying" anytime soon, the generation is coming to an end soon anyways. Seen from a production standpoint, how many more years do we have left, 2-4?
