Voting for the Brawl Tournament has ended! Stay tuned for judges & winner announcements.Public voting for Polycount's Brawl Tournament contest closed today at 9AM EST. With over 550 votes casted for the Fighters and over 350 for the Stages this will have marked Polycount's largest poll turn-out to date.
The Top 5 Fighters and the Top 5 stages from the public vote will be packaged up and sent to our judges. From there, they will vote to decide who are the Top 3 winners of both categories. If there is a tie in their votes the winner will go to the one with the most votes in the public vote.
We aren't quite ready to announce the judges yet but we will be later this week. Once we have their votes back it will be a week long* reveal of who the winners are for Polycount's Brawl Tournament!
*OK maybe not a week, but it won't all happen in a day!

We won't be announcing who they are prior to the winner announcements.
Top 5 entries deserve each a full page on some graphics magazine...
I am writing to thank you for this wonderful contest, which I believe will definitely have great prospects in the future.
However, I want to complaint about some downsides which upset me.
Firstly, when during the contest, I asked the contest administration if I could be provided with some extra time due to the fact that I couldn’t submit my work on time, I received the negative answer. Unfortunately, to my great surprise the 2 extra days were given to finish the project without even informing me by e-mail. So I got this information from the thirds men.
Secondly, after the entire submission thread for FIGHTERS having been deleted I was not informed by e-mail again. So I did not know that I had one more week to submit my final work which is now on my page http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=82875 .
Thirdly, I am unhappy about switching to Top 5 from Top 8, because most of the participants, including me, were counting on the 3 medal places which were cut out.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Wish you every success and hope that these downsides will be eliminated in future.
Sincerely yours,
Kachura Ilya (POWER)
The only thing that kind of threw me off though was that the contest was suppose to be the best "re-imagination" of a fighter or stage, but during the voting, the admins just said, "vote for whoever you like! Whether you think it's the best model or just your favorite fighter." If I had known that it was going to end up being a big, public, popularity contest, I may have picked a more popular character.
But like I said, it was still a very fun competition and it produced a lot of AMAZING work, for both the fighters AND stages. There are a lot of entries that I think should win and I had a hard time choosing just one. I can't wait to see the results!!
Also, the resubmit wasn't suppose to give everyone extra days to work on their entry, rather just re-post what they had originally submitted. Well, that's what I would understand... and what I think makes most sense... seems like if anyone posted an updated image after the original deadline would have an unfair advantage. So let's hope nobody did that, because that would be pretty LAME of them. You have a solid entry man, it was all for the fun of it anyway. No prizes remember, don't be that guy who complains... nobody likes that.
