EVE Online Design Your Own Starship Contest

I have yet another contest to distract you from your little farm in Facebook. This one is something you're probably spend a few hours doodling int he margins of your math book; Design a Starship for the online universe of Eve Online.

I'll save you the cut and paste of their rules but their prizes are definitely sweet. The top 3 winners are going to get a big ole Wacom "Whack'em" tablet just for starters.  Please take a look because you could easily throw some spaceship designs together. How hard could it be? Muhahaha.

Seems to be you are only able to enter with 2D drawings of schematics of the concept ship. Meaning no 3D models, is this correct?

Reading through the comments they say that you can include a 3D model with the picture. I'm wondering if orthographic renders with some AO or some basic textures would be eligible.

well it just says drawings / renderings, so I assume as long as you output a 2d image your golden.

btw I am so in. I love eve online and having my ship in the game is orgasmic. A dream of mine you could say.

I also play eve , my buddy got me into it, although due to my business i will not be a part of this contest sadly, i will enjoy seeing what ideas and new ships i will be able to fly

well, seems like u can do a 3d concept as well, but it should be untextured.

If u check the entries they r mostly 3d-based (though the majority are quite bad for now:P )
After all 6 views done by hand is a bit over the top imo

Also the `2d`official example shows orto views of 3d models.
