Pretty pictures and a contest
There have been some cool things happening around the Community lately that we'd like to share with you.

In case you've mised it, Polycount's very own Alden "3dflasher" Filion has been working on a sci-fi environment piece in UDK that is really coming together nicely. It's a really well composed scene with great lighting and atmosphere and he's even included some animation which you can check out here.

English illustrator Daniel Conway showcases his beautiful 2D work over at CGTalk.ru. His use of soft tones and brilliant colour are inspiring to look at whether it's a character piece or an environment.
3D Total
3D Total kicked off their new contest yesterday titled "Movie Mashup", where contestants are required to make an image in either 3D or 2D or a mix combining elements from two of your favourites feature films.
The contest has a tonne of cool sponsors and prizes to give away and the contest deadline is July 15th, 2010.
