Hi
I've been following David Ikeda's development closely on Facebook. Been exciting to see a modeling application done from ground up; there was no UI for a while, for example.
He is at a stage where he is considering doing his own subdivision and try to tackle some subdivision-topology issues from the start. I think he needs experienced speed modelers to chime in and point out cases where subdivision doesn't behave well today and could be performing better.
I think his work is really cool, but he'd be better off working on other software, whether in the shape of an addon, or in the case of opensource software: the source. I wish him all the best, but I can't see myself using such a limited application. There's a reason I switched from NVIL to Blender, and it's because the back and forth between different applications was driving me crazy!
