I have been assigned a task of creating a low poly (300 verts) futuristic recycled phone box. By recycled it means made out of other recycled objects and the textures should be hand-painted.

I just wanted some ideas about what recycled things I could use for my textures. I'm open to any suggestions as I feel like its maybe not futuristic enough. Here are my ideas so far.

Well I think the most important aspect is that it actually works as well.

Now I can think of many things.. but where would you get a greek column and why would you use that heavy thing? And why the hell would you put it onto a pizza box? Now I'm not even mentioning the fact that the pizza box is actually intact with a column on top of it.

I'd personally go for some kind of simple (metal?) post. Lightweight but sturdy. I'd use parts of a working phone.. maybe the speaker part doesn't fit with the box.. but who cares, right? A bunch of cables connect the two.. makeshift style.

Now I'm just making things up here.. "recycled" could mean perfectly normal.. as we do recycle quite a lot nowadays.. or does it mean "makeshift" ? Does futuristic mean SciFi?
For futuristic you could stick a solar panel on it somewhere for power.

Just to give you some ideas, hope it helps!
