I recently started my first job in the industry! It's at a VFX studio but I'm sure I'll eventually get myself over into games which is my goal. (very happy with this job so far though!)
Any ways I was wondering if anyone can suggest good streams/talks that are related to the industry that I can listen to while at work preferably ones that don't require me to have to visually pay attention to it.
I've listened to a fair bit of The Crunch Cast and the odd Ted Talk videos, any others? Just stumbled onto a good video on gdcvault.com so hopefully they have more.

I also listen to Star Talk Radio (Neil DeGrasse Tyson) and Infinite Monkey Cage (Brian Cox). And some spooky UFO ones cause those are always fun.
I've tried listening to art themed podcasts but it's tricky because art is so visual. Sometimes I'll put Feng Zhu on in the background while I work. Typical I just listen to instrumental music though.
And yeah, 80's radio, man.
Haven't listened to this, but plan to some time in my life,

motiga gigantic, champion spotlights, super crazy art in here. Its a champion spotlight that goes into the creation and thought process of the characters. You dont have to look at it but your eyeballs will be sad.

They have more stuff with the diary's in image/text format if you visit the site.
I want more stuff like this.
99 Percent Invisible is probably my favorite podcast. It's really interesting and very regular. How Did This Get Made is like a comedy book club for bad movies, and is fantastic. If you like Kevin Smith or have a fairly immature sense of humour, Hollywood Babble-on is really long and pretty regular.
I recommend finding some Youtube talk shows that update on a regularly weekly schedule, so you get a somewhat steady stream of stuff. I like the Tested podcasts and Kinda Funny Games for backup podcasts
Finally, it's a TV show, but I love having Castle on while I work. It's dumb and mainstream enough that you can just listen to it and never be out of the loop. Everything is explained in dialogue! But it has great plots, the perfect cheesy writing, and a bit of a nerdy streak. Love me some Castle.

12 and 8 hour long videos in specific themes (some are stupid but some are really nice). Most of the time I just need something to fill in the silence and these are awesome.
and thanks for editing your comment CreativeSheep I still got the e-mail notification with the original comment in it and wow was that ever insulting and personal. I very much hope that it was horribly mistyped and not actually meant the way it read.
